Who we are: Our reputation comes from being in the addictions field for over 30 years. We practice compassionate, respectful counseling. Individuals interact with the same counselors week-to-week, providing continuity of care. Evergreen receives referrals from courts, attorneys, Driver Intervention Programs, employers, EAP providers and treatment centers.
Why we started: When Evergreen started over 20 years ago, options in Dayton were limited. Key reasons we started Evergreen: - to provide choices - different from the Inpatient/Residential and Intensive Outpatient options available - for outpatient Substance Abuse couseling and continued Aftercare - when appropriate - to provide privacy for clients who to not want to use their insurance - to provide affordable services to those without insurance - to provide access to experienced counselors for substance abuse counseling We are not a "one-size-fits-all" counseling practice. We provide group and individual counseling focused on each client's specialized needs. Our approach is non-confrontational. We have a reputation for compassionate, non-judgmental counseling.
Who are clients are: Our clients are usually individuals charged with an OVI, Reckless Operation, Physical Control, Marijuana OVI and the like. Our focus is primarily on alcohol and mariuana use and abuse.
What services we offer: We often see clients for a condensed period of time. This usually consists of an Assessment, Education groups and Individual Counseling sessions. In addition, there may be attend 12-Step meeting attendance included. However, each client's circumstances are different and therefore their individual recommended plan varies as well.
What our scope is: We primarily deal with alcohol and marijuana abuse issues while leaving opiate addiction (and similar drugs) to providers more equipped to address those needs. Some clients have expressed relief to learn that Evergreen's primary focus is on alcohol and marijuana and not on heavier drugs. Clients find that they can relate more to the specific scenarios presented while addressing their own alcohol/marijuana issues.
How clients see us: Feedback we consistently get from clients include: ◆ "Thank you for treating me with respect. Thank you for not judging me." ◆ "I didn't think I could benefit from this, but you have really helped me." ◆ "Thank you for your kindness and encouragement! It's made a difference in my life!" ◆ I was treated as I was important and not just another person "with a habit". (See our Reviews page for more feedback responses)
